Kiss

Description

The American rock band Kiss is famous all over the globe. They have been setting the fashion for one of the main musical trends for decades. The main component of the band's success was the unusual style of concert performances and the development of the shock-rock style, the peculiarity of which was to create spectacular live shows. The Kiss band continues to actively perform concerts around the world, bringing joy to millions of its fans.

Kiss appeared in the heart of America – in New York. The prototype for Kiss was the band of Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley called Wicked Lester. In 1972, the founders started looking for new musicians because they decided they needed to change their style. After a while, drummer Peter Criss joined them, and the trio concentrated on composing hard rock, similar to the future music of Kiss. The musicians also adopted the theatricality characteristic of the New York Dolls, one of the first glam rock bands. A little later, in 1972, a fourth member joined the band – guitarist Ace Frehley. The first official performance took place in early 1973. Soon after, they recorded their first album.

Although the band was gaining popularity rapidly, their albums did not sell very well. After all, live performances of the band, during which they demonstrated various acts accompanied by pyrotechnic effects, were much more exciting. The situation with Kiss's studio albums and songs changed when the musicians decided to make a live recording. In 1975, they released the album called Alive!. In it, they managed to show the "realism and excitement" that prevailed during the band's concert performances. The release received gold status and hit the Top 40 with the track Rock and Roll All Nite. From that moment on, the musicians became icons of the big rock scene.

Today, the Kiss band is known to all rock fans. The band had a great influence on the entire genre, in particular on hard rock, heavy metal, and glam rock. The original image, candid lyrics of Kiss songs, and bright performances inspired many musicians who adopted elements of the idols' creativity. Now Kiss continues to perform concerts around the world and at home actively. Their latest End of the Road tour ends soon, but fans can still see the legendary band and their legacy.
